Freedom

How come worries, past experiences, and future events seize my mind?? I so much want to clean or perhaps get rid of all of the pollution in my mind. This obviously isn’t an easy task…The most common form ..it seems…of purifying ourselves is to meditate. This has always been an interest of mine..probably because it is so difficult for me. I ran into something off the Yoga Journal site by Judith Lasater, which discussed how sitting properly is crucial to successful meditation. Most newbies often experience back pain, which makes meditation become even trickier.….”The key to sitting well is a harmoniously positioned pelvis. The pelvis, which literally means “basin” in Latin, not only holds and protects our abdominal organs but also serves as the anchor for the spinal column. I like to say that the pelvis is the pot out of which the spine grows. Because of this relationship to the spinal column, the position of the pelvis is crucial to sitting properly.” The article also discusses in depth how to go about sitting or gradually working one’s self into proper positioning…………Now, all I have to worry about is throwing all my thoughts out once I align myself!!

“Still your mind in me, still yourself in me, and without a doubt you shall be united with me, Lord of Love, dwelling in your heart.”

–Bhagavad Gita
